Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Data professional to develop and deliver advanced, data-driven solutions for our public and private sector clients. This versatile role spans the full data lifecycle and the prepare-predict continuum—ranging from core analytics and data visualization to advanced data engineering and data science. Whether working independently, collaborating in small teams, or leading large-scale initiatives, you will drive business decision-making, system modernization, and digital transformation.
This position scales in responsibility, autonomy, and leadership expectations based on individual experience. Senior and SME-level candidates will also be responsible for leading high-performance technical teams and interacting directly with high-level commercial and Government stakeholders (Division/Branch Heads and FM&C leadership).
Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering & Analysis: Ingest, cleanse, transform, and preprocess complex data from various sources; ensure high data quality, metadata analysis, and strict adherence to data governance policies.
- Visualization & Analytics: Design, build, and maintain compelling data visualizations, interactive dashboards, and analytical reports to provide actionable business insights.
- Predictive Modeling & AI: Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models, predictive forecasts, and front-end interfaces for generative AI systems and analytical products.
- Systems Development (SDLC): Participate in and lead full lifecycle activities, including requirements gathering, system architecture design, technical documentation, testing, change management, and deployment.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance oversight to multidisciplinary project teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key liaison to senior government and commercial stakeholders, communicating technical findings and aligning analytics with strategic goals.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all data solutions and IT development efforts strictly adhere to applicable cybersecurity standards, laws, policies, and regulations.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Advanced degrees (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a matching technical field.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience requirements for this role scale progressively based on the hiring tier:
- Mid-Level: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Senior / Lead: Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience, with a proven ability to lead small technical teams.
- Enterprise Environment: Demonstrated experience supporting Federal/State Government agencies or large enterprises (1,000+ employees).
- Technical Foundation: Strong baseline experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), data visualization tools, and technical documentation.
- Core Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a balance of strong technical execution and interpersonal soft skills.
Preferred Technical Qualifications
- Core Analytics Stack: Proficiency with tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL (including Postgres), and basic Python (Pandas).
- Advanced Engineering Stack: Experience with workflow automation and data pipelines (e.g., Apache Airflow, Flask, ETL/ELT architecture).
- Data Science & AI: Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn, vector databases, semantic search, natural language processing (NLP), API interfaces, and prompt engineering.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and federal financial management or government-specific data systems.
