Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Level II Financial Analyst to join our team in supporting critical financial management and audit-related projects for federal or large-scale clients. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to implement and support financial business solutions, contribute to internal controls and audit remediation efforts, and help ensure compliance with federal accounting standards and policies.
This is an ideal position for candidates with a strong background in accounting, audit response, and financial process improvement within government or enterprise-level environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial management projects involving audit response, audit remediation, internal control assessments, and financial process improvements.
- Apply knowledge of GAAP, Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), and OMB policies to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Conduct analyses, prepare documentation, and contribute to the development of client deliverables.
- Assist in the design and implementation of improved accounting and financial systems and processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- May lead small teams or project workstreams under the guidance of senior staff.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Required Certification (at least one):
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
- CGFM (Certified Government Financial Manager)
- CDFM (Certified Defense Financial Manager)
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of progressive, relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, audit response, or financial systems.
- Demonstrated experience working with State or Federal Government agencies or large organizations (1,000+ employees).
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data, identifying issues, and recommending process improvements.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and federal financial standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with federal financial systems and reporting tools.
- Experience supporting financial improvement or audit readiness initiatives in the public sector.
- Knowledge of DoD or civilian agency financial management policies.
