Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Level III Financial Analyst to join our growing team supporting federal financial management and audit readiness initiatives. This role requires advanced technical expertise in accounting and financial processes and the ability to lead project teams while engaging directly with senior government stakeholders, including FM&C clients at the Branch and Division Head levels.
You will be responsible for independently implementing complex business solutions, directing key workstreams, and ensuring compliance with federal financial standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead efforts related to audit response, audit remediation, internal control assessments, and financial process improvement.
- Independently apply advanced knowledge of GAAP, SFFAS, and OMB financial management policies to support client objectives.
- Engage directly with senior-level government stakeholders to analyze challenges, present recommendations, and implement solutions.
- Provide direction to financial project teams, ensuring deliverables meet quality, compliance, and timeline expectations.
- Analyze financial data, processes, and systems to identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare, review, and present high-quality documentation, working papers, and findings in support of audit readiness and compliance efforts.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Certification (required – one or more):
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
- CGFM (Certified Government Financial Manager)
- CDFM (Certified Defense Financial Manager)
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) years of progressive, relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, audit support, or internal controls.
- Experience supporting Federal or State Government agencies or large organizations (1,000+ employees).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with demonstrated success managing project teams.
- Deep understanding of federal accounting standards and financial management practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DoD FM&C or civilian agency financial systems and audits.
- Familiarity with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle Federal Financials, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and financial compliance requirements in the federal space.
